Governor of Himachal Pradesh Honors NCC Cadets for Excellence at National Republic Day Camp.

The Governor of Himachal Pradesh, Shiv Pratap Shukla, honored the NCC Air Wing and Army Wing cadets of Vallabh Government College, Mandi, for their outstanding performance at the National Republic Day Camp in Delhi. The felicitation took place at the “At Home Function at Raj Bhavan” in Shimla today. On this occasion, the cadets shared their experiences of the National Republic Day Camp with the Governor.
Under the leadership of Flying Officer Dr. Chaman from the Himachal Pradesh Air Squadron NCC Kullu, five cadets from the Air Squadron NCC Kullu and two cadets from the Army Wing of Vallabh Government College, Mandi, participated in the prestigious event. The participating cadets were Cadet Corporal Diksha Kumari, Cadet Corporal Vijaylakshmi Duggal, Cadet Sergeant Himanshu, Cadet Anshul, and Cadet Sergeant Tejaswini Singh. Additionally, Cadet Sergeant Bhagwan Das and Cadet Sergeant Pankaj Kumar from the Army Wing of Vallabh Government College, Mandi, also took part in the event.
Cadet Corporal Diksha Kumari from the NCC Air Wing of Vallabh Government College, Mandi, brought pride to the state by being selected as the All India Guard Commander at the National Republic Day Camp in Delhi. She shared her experiences as the All India Guard Commander with the Governor.
Junior Wing Cadet Sergeant Tejaswini Singh from the Air Squadron NCC shared her experiences in the Best Cadet category and as the Master of Ceremony at the National Republic Day Camp in Delhi with the Governor of Himachal Pradesh. Additionally, Cadet Sergeant Pankaj Kumar from Vallabh Government College, Mandi, shared his experiences of marching at Kartavya Path with the Governor.
On this occasion, Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla hosted a high tea in honor of the Air Wing and Army Wing cadets from Himachal Pradesh who excelled at the National Republic Day Camp. Group Commander of Shimla Group Headquarters, Brigadier Robin, presented mementos to the NCC cadets in recognition of their outstanding performance at the camp.
The honored cadets included Cadet Corporal Diksha Kumari, Cadet Corporal Vijaylakshmi Duggal, Cadet Sergeant Pankaj Kumar, and Cadet Sergeant Bhagwan Das from Vallabh Government College, Mandi; Junior Wing Cadet Sergeant Tejaswini Singh from DAV Mandi; and Sergeant Himanshu and Cadet Anshul from NCC Air Wing Kullu.
Flying Officer Dr. Chaman stated that the selection of five cadets from the Air Squadron NCC Kullu at the same time is a matter of pride for the state and the squadron. Additionally, the selection of four cadets from Vallabh Government College, Mandi, is a proud moment for both the college and the state.
The talented cadets who received awards at Raj Bhavan, Shimla, were congratulated by Wing Commander Kunal Sharma, Commanding Officer of Air Squadron NCC Kullu; Flying Officer Dr. Chaman; Flying Officer Nishchal Sharma; Professor Surina Sharma, Principal of Vallabh Government College, Mandi; Major Dr. Chetan Singh; Caretaker Officer Dr. Balveer Singh; Caretaker Officer Dr. Kavita; and Dr. Radhika Jamwal, Secretary of the Staff Council.
