The incident took place on Tuesday morning when suspected Baloch militants intercepted the train in a tunnel near the mountainous regions of Gudalar and Piru Kunri.
The Jaffar Express, which was en route from Quetta to Peshawar with approximately 500 passengers on board, was hijacked by armed assailants in the remote terrain. Security forces responded promptly to the situation, engaging in a fierce battle with the militants. As a result, 13 terrorists were killed, and 80 passengers were successfully rescued from the perilous situation.
