Tragic Incident Near Manikaran Gurdwara in Kullu Himachal as Tree Falls on Road, Causing Six Deaths and Six Injuries.

A devastating accident occurred today when a massive tree, along with soil and debris from a nearby hill, fell onto the road in front of the revered Manikaran Gurdwara in Kullu district of Himachal Pradesh. The incident resulted in significant damage to vehicles parked along the road and tragically led to several casualties, including both locals and visitors.

According to the authorities, the incident occurred early this morning, when the tree and debris came crashing down, burying several vehicles and people in the area. Immediate reports confirmed that at least six people, including three males and three females, were killed on the spot, while six others sustained injuries. The injured victims were promptly rushed to CHC Jari for medical treatment, where they are currently being treated for their injuries.

  3. Varshini D/O Ramesh, H.NO 23, 114 Main CHPS IInd Layout, Vijay Nagar, Bangalore (Female)
  4. Sameer Gurang – Nepali (Male)
  5. Unidentified Male (Punjabi)
  6. Unidentified Female

Total fatalities: 6 (3 males and 3 females)

Injured victims include:

  1. Ramesh Babu S/O Sudarshan, H.NO 23, CHBS 2nd Layout, Vijay Nagar, Bangalore (Age 53 years)
  2. Smt. Pallavi Ramesh W/O Ramesh Babu, H.NO 23, CHBS 2nd Layout, Vijay Nagar, Bangalore (Age 49 years)
  3. Bhargav S/O Ramesh Babu, H.NO 23, CHBS 2nd Layout, Vijay Nagar, Bangalore (Age 24 years)
  4. Vikram Aacharya S/O Parveer Kumar Aacharya, H.NO 5, Lk Path, Asam (Age 42 years)
  5. Parachi D/O Madusudan, Sector 14, H.NO 226, Hissar, Haryana (Age 23 years)
  6. Tumpa Acharya W/O Vikram Aacharya, H.NO 5, Lk Path, Asam (Age 40 years)

Upon receiving information about the incident, a team from the Police Station Manikaran immediately rushed to the site for rescue operations. The authorities, along with local officials, are continuing efforts to clear the debris and ensure no further danger in the area. However, the situation remains dire, with ongoing recovery efforts expected to take some time due to the extent of the damage caused by the fallen tree and debris.

Local authorities have urged people to avoid the area while the cleanup and rescue operations are ongoing. They are also in the process of identifying additional victims and notifying their families.

The tragic event has left the local community in shock, and tributes have started to pour in for the deceased. The authorities are working swiftly to provide necessary assistance to the families of the victims, while also ensuring that medical and emergency services are available for the injured.
