BJP Responds to Congress Allegations, Highlights Nadda’s Contribution to Himachal’s Development.

Shimla:

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has responded firmly yet calmly to recent statements made by the Congress government in Himachal Pradesh, urging it to acknowledge the developmental efforts made by BJP National President J.P. Nadda for the state.

BJP’s chief spokesperson Rakesh Jamwal said that the Congress leadership should focus on governance rather than making baseless allegations. He added that Nadda has played a key role in bringing several important central projects to Himachal Pradesh, including the Medical Device Park, Bulk Drug Park, and improvements to national highways and railway lines.

Jamwal noted that while the Centre had approved Rs. 100 crore for the Medical Device Park and released Rs. 25 crore as the first installment, the state government returned the funds citing planning issues. “If there were concerns regarding the terms, they should have been addressed earlier,” he said.

He also pointed out that during recent natural calamities, the Centre responded promptly by sending NDRF teams and providing necessary assistance. However, the state government, according to him, focused more on statements than coordination.

Emphasizing the financial support extended by the Central Government, Jamwal said that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, Himachal received a record budget of Rs. 11,806 crore, with Rs. 8,915 crore already released.

While urging the state government to work in harmony with the Centre for the state’s progress, the BJP spokesperson also appealed to citizens to remain informed and support constructive politics that focuses on development, not differences.
