BJP Leader Ajay Rana Accuses Minister Jagat Singh Negi of Using Harsh and Irresponsible Language.
Shimla:
BJP’s state spokesperson and Kinnaur district in-charge Ajay Rana has accused Himachal Pradesh Minister Jagat Singh Negi of repeatedly using harsh and irresponsible language in public. Speaking to the media, Rana said that Negi is “known for making baseless and careless statements.”
Rana referred to an earlier incident during a disaster when Negi visited Janjehli. According to him, the minister did not provide any relief to affected people, which angered local youth and residents. They reportedly showed him black flags in protest. Rana said Negi wrongly assumed that former Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur had encouraged the protest. “People also have their own emotions. How is Jai Ram Thakur responsible for that?” he asked.
Rana further criticized Negi for speaking negatively about the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). He suggested that the minister should visit an RSS branch once to understand the difference between “reality and imagination.”
He questioned whether a minister should use such language and asked Negi to respect the Constitution he swore to uphold. Rana also urged Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu to reconsider whether Jagat Singh Negi is fit to remain a minister.
