Iranian Foreign Minister Calls on President Murmu to Mark 75 Years of Diplomatic Ties.

Dr. Abbas Araghchi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, called on President of India Droupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhavan today, as part of the 75th anniversary celebrations of diplomatic relations between India and Iran.
Welcoming Dr. Araghchi, President Murmu highlighted the deep-rooted historical and cultural ties between the two nations, noting that their shared heritage is evident in art, language, music, and cuisine.
The President emphasized that the bilateral relationship has flourished over the decades through consistent high-level engagement, encompassing cultural collaboration, trade, energy partnerships, and strategic coordination in regional and international forums.
She acknowledged the strong friendship and mutual efforts toward regional peace and prosperity, particularly highlighting ongoing cooperation on the Chabahar Port project. President Murmu also expressed gratitude for Iran’s solidarity following the recent terrorist attacks in Pahalgam.
Conveying optimism, the President said she believes the visit will help further deepen India-Iran relations.
