Jindal IVF Hosts 20th Annual ART Update in Mandi, Advancing Fertility Awareness and Education in Rural Himachal.
MANDI:
Jindal IVF marked a significant milestone in its ongoing commitment to reproductive health education by organizing the 20th edition of its flagship event, the Annual ART Update Continuing Medical Education (CME) conference in Mandi. Themed “Basic Infertility & Myths and Facts of IVF,” the event aimed to bridge the knowledge gap in fertility care between urban centers and underserved rural regions of Himachal Pradesh.
Held in collaboration with Mandav Hospital Mandi, Kullu Valley Hospital Kullu, Sai Hospital Hamirpur, and City Hospital Kangra, the conference brought together more than 70 medical professionals, including general practitioners, gynecologists, and emerging fertility specialists. The event served as a dynamic academic platform to enhance awareness, share best practices, and dispel myths surrounding infertility and IVF (In Vitro Fertilization).
The day-long event featured interactive lectures, case-based discussions, and myth-busting sessions led by senior faculty members from Jindal IVF, including Dr. Umesh Jindal, Dr. Sheetal Jindal, and other distinguished fertility experts. Notable keynote speakers included Dr. Swati Verma, Dr. Nidhi Sharma, Dr. Anupam Gupta, Dr. Neerja Chandel, and Dr. Prabhneet Kaur, who addressed pressing issues in infertility care such as lifestyle-related causes, fertility preservation, and advanced ART techniques.
A panel discussion featuring Dr. Geetika, Dr. Manishi Mittal, Dr. Sangeeta Khattar, and Dr. Udai Bhanu further enriched the discourse by offering practical perspectives on patient counseling, ethical considerations, and the evolving role of ART in primary healthcare.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Sheetal Jindal, Senior Consultant and IVF-PGT Specialist at Jindal IVF, emphasized the significance of decentralizing fertility education:
“The vibrant participation in the 20th ART Update in Mandi highlights the growing need to empower rural healthcare providers with evidence-based knowledge. Equipping them with the latest insights not only ensures clinical excellence but also promotes compassionate and culturally sensitive care. This is crucial for transforming the fertility treatment landscape and achieving equitable reproductive health outcomes.”
The conference addressed rising concerns such as increased infertility due to lifestyle stress, environmental pollution, and delayed parenthood, while also offering solutions grounded in current research and global medical standards. By dispelling myths and offering clinical clarity, the event equipped local doctors to better support patients with empathy and scientifically accurate information.
This milestone 20th edition of the ART Update reaffirms Jindal IVF’s mission to expand access to fertility education and care, especially in semi-urban and rural regions. It also reinforces the institution’s belief that collaboration, continuous medical education, and community outreach are key to improving reproductive health outcomes across India.
