Modi Government Standing Strong with Himachal in Times of Crisis: Anurag Thakur Assures Ongoing Relief and Rehabilitation Efforts.
Shimla:
Senior BJP leader and Member of Parliament from Hamirpur, Anurag Singh Thakur, visited multiple disaster-hit areas of the Dharampur constituency in Mandi district today, reaffirming the Centre’s unwavering support for Himachal Pradesh during its time of crisis. Touring villages such as Sed, Bhadarana, Tanhed, Vanal, Syathi, and the Parchu Bridge area, Thakur personally met with affected families, offered emotional support, and issued necessary directives to officials regarding ongoing relief and rehabilitation measures.

Speaking to the media, Anurag Thakur stated, “This natural disaster has left deep wounds in Himachal. Losing one’s home and loved ones is heart-wrenching. The BJP, on the ground, has remained actively involved in providing immediate relief — from ration, utensils, medicines to healthcare. Our commitment is clear: we will not let anyone feel abandoned in this time of need.”
He emphasized that the Modi government has never fallen short in extending aid to Himachal, recalling previous instances when the Centre swiftly deployed the Army and NDRF. “The support from Delhi has been prompt, and will continue for rehabilitation as well. No effort will be spared,” he added.

Highlighting the role of the MP Mobile Health Services, Thakur shared that daily over 350-400 OPDs are being conducted in Siraj and surrounding areas, offering free branded medicines, full prescription kits, sanitary pads, and even ration and bedding to families. Distribution of 1,000 school bags, biscuits, stationery kits, protein kits, and over 500 tarpaulin sheets is also underway.
Thakur revealed that funds from his MP Local Area Development Scheme (MPLADS) and MGNREGA have been allocated for diversion of rainwater to prevent further damage to homes. Coordination with SDMs and Panchayat heads is ongoing to implement these plans effectively.
He also mentioned that the Centre had earlier sanctioned Rs. 2,006 crore for the state, in addition to the Rs. 1,300 crore released during past disasters. Under Modi’s leadership, over 93,000 new homes and 12,000 disaster-resilient homes were sanctioned, an unprecedented number in Himachal’s history.

Urging unity in these times, Thakur said, “This is not the time for politics. It is the time to serve. BJP is committed to ensuring every affected family receives basic amenities and support to rebuild their lives.”
On this occasion, State BJP Media Co- In charge and BJP leader from Dharampur Rajat Thakur was also present who apprised the MP about the ground situation.
