Preparations Underway for State-Level Tribal Fair Lahaul and Spiti 2025 in Keylong: DC Kiran Bhadana Chairs Review Meeting.

In anticipation of the upcoming State-Level Tribal Fair Lahaul and Spiti 2025 scheduled to be held from August 14 to 16, a comprehensive review meeting was convened under the chairpersonship of Deputy Commissioner of Keylong, Kiran Bhadana. The meeting took place at the conference hall of the Deputy Commissioner’s office at Keylong in Lahaul and Spiti district.

 

The review session witnessed the active participation of heads of all departments stationed in Keylong, BRO officials, and local representatives. Detailed discussions were held on the preparations and essential arrangements for the grand tribal fair, which holds cultural and social significance for the region.

During the meeting, DC Kiran Bhadana issued clear directions to all concerned officials to work with a spirit of dedication and enthusiasm to ensure the successful execution of the event. She emphasized the importance of timely preparations and directed departments to focus on public amenities, cleanliness, traffic management, and the promotion of local culture and art.

“The fair is a symbol of the tribal heritage and traditions of the region. It should be celebrated with grandeur and dignity to foster a deeper connection among the local communities and visiting guests,” said the Deputy Commissioner.

She further underscored the importance of coordination among departments and urged nodal officers to oversee execution at the grassroots level.

Prominent officials present at the meeting included Sub-Divisional Magistrate (Civil) Keylong Akanksha Sharma, Assistant Commissioner Kalyani Gupta, Deputy Superintendent of Police Rashmi Sharma, Divisional Forest Officer Aniket Wanve, and Block Development Officer Vivek Guleria, along with officers and staff from various departments.

The annual State-Level Tribal Fair is a significant cultural event in the tribal district of Lahaul-Spiti, aimed at showcasing the unique customs, heritage, and craftsmanship of the indigenous communities. With the administration actively involved, preparations are now in full swing to host the event in a vibrant and inclusive manner.
