Strengthening Logistics: Launch of Joint Logistics Primer
A significant highlight of the event was the release of the ‘Joint Primer for Integrated Logistics’, a document prepared by CDM to improve tri-service logistics coordination.

Developed in collaboration with Smart Bike Mobility Pvt Ltd, the facility will provide eco-friendly e-bicycles for daily commutes of military personnel, thus helping to reduce the institution’s carbon footprint.
General Chauhan praised the initiative as a reflection of the Armed Forces’ commitment to sustainability, smart technology, and healthy living. He encouraged broader adoption of such practices across defence establishments.
Future Military Leadership in Focus
The CDS was also briefed by Commandant, CDM Maj Gen Harsh Chhibber, on recent initiatives in professional military education. The CDM, known as a premier Tri-service military management institute, continues to develop senior leadership capable of navigating the complexities of strategic defence operations.
The ongoing 44-week Higher Defence Management Course (HDMC) includes 167 participants, including 12 international officers from friendly nations, reflecting India’s dedication to regional military cooperation and defence diplomacy.
General Anil Chauhan’s address served as a rallying call for deeper jointness, integration, and strategic reform in India’s defence architecture.
