HPSEBL Joint Action Committee Meets CM Sukhu, Seeks Fulfilment of Long-Standing Demands.

A delegation of the Joint Action Committee (JAC) of the Himachal Pradesh State Electricity Board Limited (HPSEBL) met Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu in Shimla today to discuss various long-pending demands concerning the employees and functioning of the organization.

The delegation apprised the Chief Minister of key issues affecting the performance and morale of employees, and urged the State Government to take necessary steps for the strengthening and revitalization of HPSEBL.

In response, Chief Minister Sukhu assured the delegation that the State Government would consider all legitimate demands with sympathy and seriousness. He emphasized that the Government is committed to ensuring that HPSEBL emerges as a financially stable and operationally efficient entity.

Vacant Posts to be Filled

The Chief Minister acknowledged the manpower challenges being faced by HPSEBL and assured the delegation that the vacant posts in the organization would be filled in a phased manner. This, he said, would help streamline operations, improve service delivery, and boost the efficiency of power distribution and maintenance services across the state.

“Our government is committed to strengthening HPSEBL, and all possible support will be extended to improve its financial health and operational capacity,” the Chief Minister said during the meeting.

This engagement between the government and the Joint Action Committee reflects the State’s proactive approach to address the concerns of public sector employees, while simultaneously pushing for reforms in the energy sector to ensure reliable and efficient power supply to the people of Himachal Pradesh.
