In a heartfelt gesture of solidarity and social responsibility, the Raja Virbhadra Singh Foundation, led by its chairman PWD Minister Vikramaditya Singh, has extended crucial support to the families affected by the recent devastating natural disaster in the Mandi district of Himachal Pradesh.

Demonstrating the Foundation’s unwavering commitment to public welfare, a cheque of Rs. 11 lakh was formally handed over to the Deputy Commissioner of Mandi yesterday. The amount will be utilized for relief, rehabilitation, and essential assistance activities in the region.

The donation was presented by senior Foundation member Yadopati Thakur, along with other members from the Mandi district, on behalf of Chairman Vikramaditya Singh. The initiative underscores the Foundation’s active role in aiding disaster-hit communities across Himachal Pradesh.

Speaking on the occasion, the members of the Foundation remarked,
“The Raja Virbhadra Singh Foundation has always stood by the people of Himachal in times of joy and crisis. Recently, our chairman Vikramaditya Singh personally visited the disaster-affected areas, met with the impacted families, and assured them of support. In times of natural calamities, it is our duty to come together and help bring life back on track for those who have lost everything. This contribution is a small gesture of our commitment to serve humanity.”

They further emphasized that the Foundation, established in the name of the late former Chief Minister Raja Virbhadra Singh, continues to walk in his footsteps—promoting humanitarian values and public service as its guiding principles. The Foundation also reiterated its pledge to remain active in various social and public interest causes in the future.

Several prominent members were present during the donation handover, including Yadopati Thakur, Ajay Modgil, Azad Thakur, Sachin Verma, Anil Sharma, Kishori Thakur, Gopal Krishna, and Bodhraj, among others.

This act by the Raja Virbhadra Singh Foundation stands as a testament to the enduring spirit of community support and legacy-driven public service in Himachal Pradesh.
