Vallabh Government College, Mandi Granted Permission to Participate in B.Ed. Admission Process.

The National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) has officially issued a notification on its website granting Vallabh Government College, Mandi permission to participate in the ongoing counseling and admission process for the B.Ed. program.
Principal of the college, Dr. Sanjeev Kumar, stated that this decision has brought immense relief to the students of Himachal Pradesh, particularly those aspiring to pursue the B.Ed. course at Vallabh Government College, Mandi.
He further informed that a delegation from the college successfully presented its case before the NCTE in New Delhi, leading to this favorable outcome.
On September 02, 2025, the High Court of Himachal Pradesh passed an order allowing Vallabh Government College, Mandi to participate in the ongoing counseling process for the B.Ed. course with an intake of 100 seats. The Court also emphasized that the institution cannot be barred from counseling and directed that the order be made public.
Following this directive, students from Mandi and adjoining areas will now be able to apply and participate in the B.Ed. admission process through Sardar Patel University, Mandi.
The college delegation comprised Prof. (Dr.) Harish Kumar Chauhan, Dr. Rajkumar Thakur, Dr. Sanjay Narang, and Office Superintendent Khushal Singh.
This landmark decision of the NCTE and the Court has created an atmosphere of joy and enthusiasm within the college campus.
