Prime Minister Modi Pays Heartfelt Tribute to Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam on His Birth Anniversary.

On the occasion of the birth anniversary of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, one of India’s most beloved Presidents and visionary scientists, Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid glowing tribute, remembering his legacy as a guiding light for millions of Indians, especially the youth.

In a message posted on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), the Prime Minister wrote:

“Remembering Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Ji on his birth anniversary. He is remembered as a visionary who ignited young minds and inspired our nation to dream big. His life reminds us that humility and hard work are vital for success. May we continue to build the India he envisioned…an India that is strong, self-reliant and compassionate.”

Dr. Kalam, popularly known as the “Missile Man of India”, was born on 15th October 1931. Renowned for his contributions to India’s space and defence programmes, he later served as the 11th President of India from 2002 to 2007. His presidency and post-presidency years were marked by relentless engagement with students and youth, advocating for innovation, education, and national development.

In his tribute, Prime Minister Modi emphasized Dr. Kalam’s profound influence on the younger generation, describing him as a visionary who ignited young minds and inspired the nation to dream big. The Prime Minister highlighted how Dr. Kalam’s life stands as a testament to the power of humility, dedication, and perseverance.

He also expressed hope that the country continues working towards the ideals that Dr. Kalam stood for — a vision of an India that is not only technologically advanced and economically strong, but also morally grounded, self-reliant, and compassionate.

The tribute comes under the larger umbrella of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’, a nationwide initiative commemorating 75 years of India’s independence, during which tributes to national icons and leaders are being observed to inspire future generations.
