PM Modi neglected Himachal at the time of disaster, says Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi.

Shimla:
In a fervent display of political activism, Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra took center stage in Kullu and Mandi, rallying support for party candidate from Mandi parliamentary constituency Vikramaditya Singh. Drawing massive crowds, her fiery speeches and spirited roadshows echoed through the hills, igniting enthusiasm among the electorate.
Launching a scathing critique, Priyanka Gandhi lambasted Prime Minister Narendra Modi for what she perceived as his neglect of Himachal Pradesh during times of crisis, despite considering it his home. She accused the central government of failing to provide assistance to disaster-affected individuals, contrasting it with the Congress’s proactive stance under Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukkhu.
Attacking the BJP’s alleged tactics of toppling governments through legislative buyouts, she championed the sanctity of democracy, asserting the people’s paramount authority. Priyanka Gandhi accused the BJP of accumulating wealth through coercive means over the past decade, citing purported instances of dubious donations though electoral bonds.
Expressing unwavering support for Vikramaditya Singh, she extolled his commitment to serving the Mandi constituency, urging voters to elect him with resounding approval.
Comparing the policy priorities of the Congress and BJP, Priyanka Gandhi underscored the former’s emphasis on fostering tourism and supporting small businesses. She criticized the Modi government’s policies, particularly the implementation of GST, which she argued had exacerbated the challenges facing the tourism industry post-COVID.
Further, she accused the government of prioritizing corporate interests over farmers’ welfare, highlighting alleged instances of favoritism and disparity in economic policies.
Promising a slew of initiatives to uplift various segments of society, Priyanka Gandhi outlined Congress’s proposed policies for women empowerment, job creation, agriculture, and healthcare.
In her vision for a Congress-led future, she envisioned a robust welfare state with comprehensive support systems for marginalized communities and ambitious economic reforms aimed at inclusive growth.
As the political landscape heats up in Himachal Pradesh, Priyanka Gandhi’s impassioned campaign signals a fierce electoral battle ahead, with the promise of transformative change looming on the horizon.
