Urban Development Minister Vikramaditya Singh Calls on Governor, Highlights Rs. 5,400 Crore Development Push in Himachal Pradesh.

Urban Development and Public Works Minister Vikramaditya Singh on Tuesday called on Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla at Raj Bhavan and apprised him of the various ongoing and completed development works in Himachal Pradesh.
Disclosing this in a press communiqué issued here today, the Minister said that under the visionary leadership of Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, the state government is working with full commitment and dedication towards ensuring balanced, inclusive and holistic development across all regions and sections of society.
Vikramaditya Singh informed that during the past three years, an amount of approximately Rs. 5,400 crore has been secured for Himachal Pradesh through various centrally sponsored schemes and other funding heads for development works. He said that these funds have significantly contributed to strengthening road infrastructure, urban development, drinking water supply systems, bridges and other basic infrastructure, resulting in visible and measurable progress across the state.
The Minister further stated that during the same period, the state’s road network has been expanded by nearly 1,600 kilometres. This expansion has considerably improved connectivity in remote and difficult areas, thereby enhancing access to education, healthcare, tourism and boosting the local economy.
He emphasized that the improved road infrastructure has played a crucial role in accelerating socio-economic development, particularly in rural and far-flung regions, by facilitating smoother movement of people, goods and essential services.
Vikramaditya Singh reiterated that under the leadership of Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, the state government is firmly committed to transforming Himachal Pradesh into a model state of sustainable, inclusive and comprehensive development. He said the government’s core objective is to ensure that the benefits of development reach the last person standing in the queue with dignity, and that inclusive growth remains the highest priority of the state administration.
The Minister added that the state government will continue to work proactively to strengthen infrastructure, improve public services and ensure equitable development across all districts of Himachal Pradesh.
