The President of India, Droupadi Murmu, on Friday paid floral tributes to Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose on his birth anniversary, observed as Parakram Diwas, at Rashtrapati Bhavan.
Remembering the legendary freedom fighter, the President offered flowers at the portrait of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose and paid homage to his unparalleled contribution to India’s freedom struggle. Parakram Diwas is celebrated every year on January 23 to commemorate the birth anniversary of Netaji and to honor his courage, leadership and unwavering dedication to the nation.
Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose is remembered as one of the most influential leaders of India’s independence movement, who inspired millions with his call for complete freedom and his role in forming the Indian National Army (INA). His ideals of patriotism, sacrifice and fearless pursuit of justice continue to inspire generations of Indians.
