A one-day interactive session was successfully organized for the cadets of the NCC Air Wing and the students of the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication at Vallabh Government College, Mandi. The programme was presided over by the Head of the Department and Flight Commander of NCC Air Wing, Mandi, Flying Officer Dr. Chaman.

In his presidential address, Flying Officer Dr. Chaman stated that the primary objective of the session was to provide NCC cadets and students with valuable insights into the Service Selection Board (SSB) and the process of entry into the armed forces. He elaborated in detail on the principle of “Mansa, Vacha, Karmana,” emphasizing that it forms the foundation of life and personality development.

He explained that Mansa (thought) refers to maintaining pure, positive, and goal-oriented thinking; Vacha (speech) signifies the use of truthful, disciplined, and inspiring words; and Karmana (action) denotes the sincere, honest, and disciplined execution of one’s duties. He further highlighted that true success and the development of an ideal personality are achieved only when there is harmony between one’s thoughts, speech, and actions. He emphasized that adherence to this principle is especially crucial for success in competitive processes such as the Service Selection Board.

On this occasion, Flying Officer Dr. Govil Jindal, Associate NCC Officer from 1 Air Squadron NCC, Hisar (Haryana), participated as the resource person and shared his valuable insights. In his address, he stated that NCC cadets and students can achieve higher goals through strict discipline, dedication, and consistent effort. He also emphasized the significant role of the NCC in shaping the personality, developing leadership qualities, and ensuring a bright and secure future for the youth.

During the programme, Flying Officer Dr. Chaman felicitated the guest speaker, Flying Officer Dr. Govil Jindal, and Professor Jyoti Jindal of the Mathematics Department, Hisar College, by presenting them with mementoes.

The event was attended by Assistant Professor Aditi Sharma from the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, Assistant Professor Jyoti Jindal from Hisar College (Haryana), and selected cadets of the NCC Air Wing.
