Shimla:

In a significant organizational development for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Himachal Pradesh, former Chief Minister and Leader of Opposition Jai Ram Thakur on Friday formally inaugurated the new BJP District Office in Mandi. The office is located near the Post Office and is expected to function as a key organizational hub for the party in the region.

BJP’s State General Secretary (Organisation) Siddharthan was present as a special guest on the occasion, adding further weight to the importance of the event.

Speaking at the inaugural ceremony, Jai Ram Thakur expressed confidence that the new district office would serve as a vital link between the party cadre and the public. “All BJP offices act as a strong bridge between the workers and the people. This new Mandi office will further strengthen party activities and ensure better coordination at the grassroots level,” he said.

Thakur also informed that a permanent and grand office building for the party is currently under construction in Mandi. However, to ensure that organizational work continues without interruption, this temporary office will begin its operations immediately.

Extending congratulations to BJP District President Nihal Chand Sharma and other office bearers, Thakur emphasized that this office would become a “center of organizational strength and public connection” for the BJP in Mandi.

The event began with a traditional havan (ritual fire ceremony) and puja, performed jointly by Jai Ram Thakur and Siddharthan, marking the formal opening of the office in a religious and auspicious manner.

A number of senior BJP leaders and functionaries were present on the occasion, including former minister Anil Sharma, MLA Inder Singh Gandhi, senior leaders Virender Bhatt, Pal Verma, Ranbir Thakur, Media In-charge Rakesh Walia, Office Secretary Raman Sharma and several other party workers.

The inauguration of the Mandi BJP office is seen as part of the party’s broader strategy to enhance its grassroots infrastructure and organizational capabilities in Himachal Pradesh, particularly with the next round of elections in sight.
