Trump Claims U.S. Strike ‘Obliterated’ Iran’s Nuclear Sites Amid Escalating Tensions.

Washington, D.C.:

Amid the ongoing conflict involving Iran, U.S. President Donald J. Trump has issued a strong statement defending recent American military actions, asserting that a targeted strike on Iran’s nuclear infrastructure dealt a decisive blow to its weapons program.

According to President Trump, the United States had initially prioritized diplomatic engagement with Iran, but repeated efforts to reach an agreement were unsuccessful. He accused the Iranian leadership of persistently pursuing nuclear weapons capabilities while rejecting multiple negotiation attempts.

Trump revealed that in June, he authorized a military operation—referred to as “Operation Midnight Hammer”—targeting key nuclear facilities in Iran. He described the mission as unprecedented in scale and effectiveness, highlighting the role of advanced U.S. military technology, including B-2 stealth bombers, which he said “performed magnificently.”

“We totally obliterated those nuclear sites,” Trump stated, emphasizing that the strike significantly disrupted Iran’s nuclear ambitions.

However, the President also expressed concern that Iran has since attempted to rebuild its nuclear program at a different, undisclosed location. He warned that this move demonstrates Tehran’s continued intent to develop nuclear weapons, despite international pressure.

In addition to nuclear concerns, Trump claimed that Iran is rapidly expanding its arsenal of conventional ballistic missiles. He warned that these weapons could soon have the capability to reach not only Europe but also the United States and other parts of the world, escalating the global security threat.

The remarks come at a time of heightened geopolitical tension, with the international community closely monitoring developments in the region. Analysts suggest that such statements could further strain diplomatic relations and complicate efforts to de-escalate the situation.

No immediate response from Iranian officials was available at the time of reporting.
