Amid the ongoing conflict involving Iran, U.S. President Donald J. Trump has issued a strong statement defending recent American military actions, asserting that a targeted strike on Iran’s nuclear infrastructure dealt a decisive blow to its weapons program.
According to President Trump, the United States had initially prioritized diplomatic engagement with Iran, but repeated efforts to reach an agreement were unsuccessful. He accused the Iranian leadership of persistently pursuing nuclear weapons capabilities while rejecting multiple negotiation attempts.
Trump revealed that in June, he authorized a military operation—referred to as “Operation Midnight Hammer”—targeting key nuclear facilities in Iran.
