The vibrant three-day cultural fest “FLAME 2K26” commenced with great enthusiasm at Abhilashi University Mandi, bringing together a rich blend of culture, creativity, and scientific innovation. The inaugural ceremony was marked by the presence of distinguished dignitaries, including Vijay Pal Singh, Member of the Himachal Pradesh Private Educational Institutions Regulatory Commission (HP-PERC), who graced the occasion as the chief guest.

The event was also attended by University Chancellor Dr. R.K. Abhilashi, Dr. Narvada Abhilashi, and Vice-Chancellor Prof. H.K. Chaudhary. In his welcome address, Prof. Chaudhary extended greetings to the guests and highlighted the university’s continuous strides in innovation, advanced technology, and entrepreneurship. He emphasized the institution’s commitment to maintaining excellence in the global academic landscape.

Addressing the gathering, Chancellor Dr. R.K. Abhilashi praised the organizers and underscored the importance of students as the nation’s true assets. He encouraged learners to draw lessons from past experiences while striving for excellence in education and overall personality development. Chief guest Vijay Pal Singh commended the university for its modern infrastructure and progressive academic environment, noting that it stands among the country’s leading educational institutions and plays a vital role in shaping students’ futures.

A key highlight of the inauguration ceremony was the inauguration of a science exhibition themed “Science, Innovation, and Sustainable Development towards Viksit Bharat-2047.” Students from various faculties showcased innovative models, reflecting their scientific aptitude and forward-thinking approach.

The first day of FLAME 2K26 also featured a series of engaging cultural performances. The audience was captivated by the ‘Jogwan’ dance presented by the School of Health Sciences, a thought-provoking short play titled “Against Drug Abuse” by the Faculty of Education, and a lively Himachali folk dance performed by the School of Agriculture.

Adding to the excitement, the much-awaited Star Night energized the campus. Popular Himachali singer Ishant Bhardwaj mesmerized the audience with his soulful music, while performances by the ‘Dheer Band’ and ‘Naveen Dance Group’ kept the energy high and the crowd thoroughly entertained.

In a joint message, the university leadership—including the Chancellor, Pro-Chancellor, Vice-Chancellor, Dean Academics, Registrar, Finance Officer, and management committee—described the festival as a unique confluence of art, knowledge, and innovation. They emphasized that FLAME 2K26 serves as an excellent platform for students to showcase their talents and creativity while fostering a spirit of active participation in nation-building.

The fest aims to promote holistic development and equip students with the skills and confidence needed to face future challenges, making it not just a celebration, but a meaningful step toward shaping responsible and capable individuals.
