Vidyarambh Ceremony Organised for Nursery and LKG Students at DAV Centenary Public School, Jawahar Nagar, Mandi.

DAV Centenary Public School, (DAVCPS) Jawahar Nagar, Mandi (Pathshala – EEDP) organised a traditional Vidyarambh Sanskar ceremony on Saturday for newly admitted Nursery and LKG students, marking the auspicious beginning of their educational journey.
The programme was presided over by the esteemed Chief Guest, K. S. Guleria, Principal DAVCPS Mandi, along with his gracious wife, Vandana Guleria. Their presence proved highly inspiring and encouraging for the young learners. They warmly appreciated the children and showered them with blessings, creating a positive and welcoming atmosphere.
The school premises resonated with devotion, enthusiasm, and spirituality as the tiny tots were welcomed through Vedic rituals, chanting of mantras, and ceremonial prayers. The primary objective of the Vidyarambh Sanskar is to initiate children into formal education with positive energy and spiritual grounding.
Renowned scholar Ved Mitra Shastri highlighted the significance of sanskaras in human life, describing Vidyarambh as one of the most important among the sixteen traditional Hindu rites. Under the guidance of the priest and with the support of teachers, the children took their first step into learning by writing ‘Om’ on wooden slates using pen and ink, symbolising the beginning of knowledge.
The ceremony was followed by a havan, performed with full rituals, further enhancing the sanctity of the occasion. The presence of parents added dignity and warmth to the event, making it a truly memorable experience for everyone involved.
The entire campus reflected a beautiful blend of culture, tradition, and positivity. Addressing the gathering, Principal K. S. Guleria emphasised that Vidyarambh is not merely the start of formal education but the first step towards shaping a child’s life. He reiterated the institution’s commitment to nurturing students not only with academic excellence but also with Indian values, discipline, and a global outlook to become responsible citizens.
