Jewellery Shops in Mandi to Remain Open on Sunday for Akshaya Tritiya: Raja Singh Malhotra.

In view of the auspicious occasion of Akshaya Tritiya, jewellery traders in Mandi have made special arrangements to cater to customers this year. According to Raja Singh Malhotra, Press Secretary of the Mandi Sarafa Swarnkar Welfare Association, the festival will be observed on Sunday, April 19.

Highlighting the significance of the day, Malhotra announced that all jewellery shops across Mandi will remain open on Sunday, despite it being a weekly holiday. The decision has been taken to ensure that devotees and customers can conveniently purchase gold and silver without any disruption.

He noted that buying precious metals on Akshaya Tritiya is considered highly auspicious, leading to a surge in market activity every year. Anticipating increased footfall, traders have collectively decided to keep their establishments open to accommodate the demand.

Malhotra also appealed to customers to make the most of the occasion by visiting the markets during designated hours and completing their purchases smoothly.

The move is expected to bring vibrant activity to Mandi’s markets as residents prepare to celebrate the festival with traditional fervour.
