President Donald J. Trump and First Lady Melania Trump will welcome His Majesty King Charles III of the United Kingdom and Her Majesty Queen Camilla to Washington, D.C. for a State Visit from Monday, April 27 through Thursday, April 30, 2026.
The visit marks the first official State Visit of the second term of the Trump administration and comes as the United States observes the 250th anniversary of its independence. According to the White House, First Lady Melania Trump has led preparations for the visit, which is intended to highlight the longstanding relationship between the United States and the United Kingdom.
Arrival and White House Welcome
On Monday afternoon, the President and First Lady will greet the royal couple at the South Portico of the White House. The leaders will then proceed to the State Floor for tea in the Green Room.
