Prime Minister Narendra Modi delivered a keynote address at the 2nd Asia Pacific Civil Aviation Ministers Conference in New Delhi today. Addressing delegates from various nations, Modi emphasized the crucial role of civil aviation in connecting cultures and driving economic growth in the region.

He highlighted India’s remarkable progress in the aviation sector, noting that the country has transformed from an aviation-exclusive to an aviation-inclusive nation, with significant developments in regional connectivity. Modi praised the Udaan scheme, which has made air travel accessible to smaller cities and lower-middle-class citizens, and called for continued investment in infrastructure, skilled manpower, and technology.

The Prime Minister also discussed the potential of the aviation sector to enhance international tourism, particularly through initiatives like the Buddhist Circuit. He urged the region to focus on improving connectivity and addressing challenges related to technology and cybersecurity.

Modi concluded by expressing his gratitude to the delegates and reaffirming his commitment to an inclusive and interconnected future for global aviation.
