PM Modi Warns of Congress-Infighting Threat to Haryana’s Stability.
Sonipat:
Prime Minister Narendra Modi delivered a strong message at a poll rally in Gohana on Tuesday, asserting that if the Congress party were to come to power in Haryana, even by chance, the state’s stability and development would be jeopardized due to the party’s internal conflicts.
As Haryana prepares for assembly elections on October 5, Modi criticized the Congress for its history of “instability,” citing examples from Karnataka, Telangana, and Himachal Pradesh, where he claimed party leaders were preoccupied with infighting rather than addressing the concerns of the people.
He emphasized that a Congress victory would risk the state’s progress, stating, “Voting for Congress means putting Haryana’s stability and development at stake.” Modi specifically called out Congress’s treatment of reservation policies, alleging that opposition to such measures is ingrained in the party’s “DNA.”
The Prime Minister highlighted the BJP’s commitment to uplifting marginalized communities, noting that the party has made significant strides in empowering Dalits, OBCs, and tribals. He pointed to the appointment of Nayab Saini, an OBC leader, as an example of the BJP’s inclusive governance.
Modi also reflected on his recent trip to the United States, where he spoke about India’s talented youth and the government’s efforts to foster development. He congratulated the people of Jammu and Kashmir for their enthusiastic participation in the ongoing elections, reinforcing his message of democratic engagement.
The BJP is intensifying its campaign against Congress in the lead-up to the polls, especially focusing on alleged dissent within the Congress ranks, including reported discontent among prominent party leaders over ticket distribution.
