Government College Seraj Hosts International Conference on Culture, Language, and Knowledge.

Government College Seraj successfully held a two-day International Research Conference, “Integration of Culture, Language, and Knowledge,” on October 18-19, attracting over 100 participants, including professors, researchers, and students.

Retired Professor Vyayam Singh from Jawaharlal Nehru University served as the chief guest, delivering a poignant address that highlighted the uniqueness of the Seraji language and culture through his poetry. Pro Vice Chancellor of Sardar Patel University, Professor Anupama Singh, also attended as a special guest.

The keynote address was presented by esteemed sociologist Professor Vivek Kumar, who commended the conference’s focus and its importance for researchers in the Himalayan region.

Dr. Sonali Gupta, program coordinator and President of the Himalayan Conservation and Preservation Society, participated remotely from the United States, expressing enthusiasm for organizing future events.

Guest speakers included Dr. Vidhan Das from Ambedkar University Delhi, Dr. Saumya Malviya from IIT Mandi, artist Calvin Wilson from the Netherlands, and Dr. Shalini Thakur from Chile. College Principal Professor Vikram Singh Thakur welcomed participants and expressed gratitude to staff and students for their contributions.

Organized by Dalip Singh and Yamini Sharma, the conference showcased the vibrant academic community at Seraj College and emphasized the significance of cultural integration in research. HGCTA President BK Saklani also attended, extending support on behalf of the association.
