India-US Military Cooperation Group Holds 21st Meeting in New Delhi.

The 21st edition of the India-US Military Cooperation Group (MCG) meeting concluded today at the Manekshaw Centre in New Delhi. Held from November 5 to 6, the meeting focused on a broad range of topics aimed at strengthening bilateral defence ties, including capacity building, training exchanges, defence industrial cooperation, and enhancing joint exercises for improved preparedness against conventional and hybrid threats.

The meeting was co-chaired by Lieutenant General JP Mathew, Chief of Integrated Defence Staff, representing India, and Lieutenant General Joshua M. Rudd, Deputy Commander of the US Indo-Pacific Command, representing the United States. Senior officials from both nations engaged in discussions to review ongoing initiatives and explore new avenues for cooperation.

The two sides reaffirmed the importance of their strategic partnership and committed to deepening military collaboration to address the evolving security challenges in the Indo-Pacific region. Both sides emphasized their shared commitment to enhancing interoperability and expanding defence cooperation to ensure regional stability and counter emerging threats.

The MCG serves as a key platform for advancing strategic and operational defence collaboration between the armed forces of India and the US, with this latest meeting marking a significant step in reinforcing their joint efforts to secure both regional and global peace.
