21st Edition of India-US Military Cooperation Group Meeting Held in New Delhi.

The 21st edition of the India-US Military Cooperation Group (MCG) meeting took place from November 5-6, 2024, at the Manekshaw Centre in New Delhi. The high-level meeting focused on strengthening bilateral defence ties, with discussions covering a wide range of areas, including capacity building, training exchanges, defence industrial cooperation, and enhancing joint military exercises.
Co-chaired by India’s Chief of Integrated Defence Staff, Lieutenant General JP Mathew, and the Deputy Commander of the US Indo-Pacific Command, Lieutenant General Joshua M Rudd, the meeting underscored the growing strategic partnership between the two nations. Senior officials from both sides reviewed ongoing initiatives and explored new avenues for collaboration aimed at addressing both conventional and hybrid security threats.
The meeting highlighted the importance of Indo-US military cooperation, with both sides reaffirming their commitment to enhancing interoperability and regional security. Emphasis was placed on proactive engagement and joint efforts to address the dynamic challenges of the Indo-Pacific region.
The MCG serves as a vital forum for advancing strategic and operational defence cooperation between India and the US, fostering deeper ties to counter emerging threats and build mutual defence capabilities. The successful completion of the 21st MCG meeting marks a significant step towards reinforcing the shared security objectives of both nations.
