Congress Felicitates Panchayati Raj, Municipal Poll Winners in Sundernagar.

The Sundernagar Block Congress organised a felicitation ceremony at the Community Hall in Jawahar Park on Friday to honour Congress-backed representatives who won the recent Panchayati Raj and Municipal Council elections.

Former Chief Parliamentary Secretary (CPS) and senior Congress leader from Sundernagar Sohan Lal Thakur, who attended the event as the chief guest, honoured the victorious representatives with mementos. He urged them to live up to the trust placed in them by the people and give priority to public welfare and local development.

Thakur also appealed to defeated candidates to remain active among the people and continue raising their issues. Targeting the BJP, he alleged that attempts were being made to divide people in the name of religion and caste, while BJP leaders had maintained silence on issues such as rising inflation.

Block Congress president Jaswant Singh Thakur called upon party office-bearers and workers to begin preparations for the 2027 Assembly elections.
