Vallabh Government College Mandi Women Handball Team Wins Second Runner-Up Trophy at HP University Inter-College Competition.

The women’s handball team of Vallabh Government College Mandi secured the Second Runner-Up Trophy in the state-level Himachal Pradesh University Inter-College Handball Championships. The achievement was celebrated with a special honor ceremony at the college upon their return today.
Under the leadership of Dr. Sunil Sen, Head of the Physical Education Department, the victorious players presented the trophy to the college Principal, Professor Surina Sharma. While addressing the players, Professor Sharma emphasized that sports contribute to the holistic development of individuals and open up promising career opportunities. She congratulated the winning players and their coaches for bringing pride to the college.
Dr. Sunil Sen provided details of the event, mentioning that the championships were held from November 30 to December 2, 2024, at Maharaja Lakshman Sen College, Sundernagar. The college’s handball team showcased exceptional performance and clinched the Second Runner-Up Trophy in the women’s category.
Media Coordinator Dr. Chaman shared that the college team comprised players including Prerna, Diya, Diksha Kumari, Kavita Thakur, Sneha, Upasana, Mahak, Saniya, Ishita, Manisha, Reshma, Shivani, and Anchal, who all displayed remarkable skills on the field.
The event was also attended by Dr. Rajkumari and Dr. Kavita, who served as sports managers for the inter-college basketball competition, along with several esteemed college faculty and members of the Himachal Government College Teacher Association.
This occasion marked a moment of pride for Vallabh Government College Mandi, with the college leadership and sports staff extending their best wishes to the winning team.
