Prime Minister Modi Hails Republic Day Celebrations, Thanks Global Leaders for Their Greetings.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi today shared his appreciation for the vibrant Republic Day celebrations marking India’s 76th Republic Day. Addressing the nation and the world, the Prime Minister described the parade as a magnificent showcase of India’s unity in diversity, highlighting the cultural heritage and military strength of the country.
In his remarks, shared through a series of posts on X (formerly Twitter), Prime Minister Modi conveyed, “The magnificent parade showcased cultural heritage and military prowess. The vibrant tableaux represented the rich traditions of our states.” The Prime Minister emphasized that the event was a powerful display of India’s commitment to unity, with various states contributing their unique cultural elements to the celebration.
The Prime Minister further expressed his gratitude to world leaders for their warm greetings on India’s Republic Day. In his response to messages from global counterparts, Modi acknowledged the longstanding bonds of friendship and cooperation between India and several nations, including Nepal, Maldives, Bhutan, and Thailand.
In a post responding to Nepal’s Prime Minister Khadga Prasad Sharma Oli, Prime Minister Modi said, “Thank you for your warm wishes Prime Minister @kpsharmaoli. As India completes 75 years of its Republic, we also deeply cherish the historical bonds of the friendship between the people of our two nations.” Similarly, he thanked Maldives’ President Mohamed Muizzu, Bhutan’s Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay, and former leaders like Nepal’s Sher Bahadur Deuba and Maldives’ Ibrahim Solih for their kind wishes.
Prime Minister Modi also shared his appreciation for Thailand’s Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra, writing, “We deeply value our relations with Thailand. Look forward to continued cooperation on enhancing regional connectivity and people-to-people connect.”
As part of the Republic Day events, Prime Minister Modi is scheduled to address the National Cadet Corps (NCC) PM Rally at the Cariappa Parade Ground in Delhi on 27th January 2025, at 4:30 PM. The theme for this year’s rally, “Yuva Shakti, Viksit Bharat,” will celebrate the contributions of young cadets, with more than 2,300 cadets participating, including a record 917 female cadets. The event marks the culmination of the month-long NCC Republic Day Camp, with cultural programs and performances by cadets from 18 friendly foreign nations.
Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Modi greeted the nation with a message marking the 75th anniversary of India’s Republic, saying, “Today, we celebrate 75 glorious years of being a Republic. We bow to all the great women and men who made our Constitution and ensured that our journey is rooted in democracy, dignity, and unity.”
The Republic Day festivities, showcasing India’s rich heritage and strength, have not only captivated the country but have also strengthened India’s ties with the international community as leaders across the globe expressed their warm wishes for India’s continued success and prosperity.
