In a remarkable achievement for Himachal Pradesh, Junior Wing NCC Cadet Sergeant Tejaswini Singh has been honored as the Best Cadet at the prestigious National Republic Day Camp (RDC) 2025. This recognition comes for her exceptional performance in the Flag Area Briefing, where she earned a distinguished trophy and a commendation certificate from Major General J.S. Cheema, Additional Director General (ADG) of the NCC Directorate for Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, and Chandigarh.

Tejaswini Singh, representing the Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, and Chandigarh NCC Directorate, was awarded another commendation certificate by the Director General of NCC, Lieutenant General Gurbirpal Singh, for her outstanding participation at the National Republic Day Camp in New Delhi from December 29, 2024, to January 29, 2025.

The proud daughter of Flying Officer Dr. Chaman Lal Kranti Singh, who serves as an Associate NCC Officer with the Himachal Pradesh Air Squadron, and Sharmila Singh, an AYUSH Pharmacy Officer, Tejaswini’s achievement is made even more significant as she is the only cadet from Himachal Pradesh selected for the Best Cadet Category at RDC 2025. She hails from Maddhar village, Gram Panchayat Dhar in Mandi District, continuing a proud family legacy of NCC service. Her grandfather, Gursai Singh, and her father were both esteemed NCC Cadets and Senior Under Officers.

Additionally, Tejaswini showcased her abilities at the Inter-Group RDC 2025 Selection Camp at the NCC Academy in Ropar (Rupnagar), Punjab.

In addition to her NCC accomplishments, Tejaswini is a skilled national-level Taekwondo athlete, having represented Himachal Pradesh in Panipat. She has also won multiple state-level medals in Penchak Silat, Taekwondo, and Judo Karate, and holds a blue belt in Karate. Furthermore, she secured a bronze medal in a state-level shooting competition, demonstrating her versatility in both physical and mental disciplines.
