BJP state Spokesperson Ajay Rana Vows to Protect Temple Funds from Government Interference in Himachal Pradesh.

BJP state spokesperson Ajay Rana stated that “we pledge that no temple in Himachal Pradesh will ever allow its funds to be taken by any government.” He criticized the state government, accusing it of targeting temple funds, which he claimed exposed the government’s anti-Sanatani stance.

Rana emphasized that the money donated by devotees to temples is intended for the development of temples and religious activities, not for government schemes. He expressed concern over Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu’s appeal to temples for financial support, claiming that it appeared politically motivated and was unacceptable.

Rana also dismissed the Congress party’s claims that they were seeking funds for religious purposes like cow service, not for government schemes, and accused them of spreading false propaganda to improve their image.

Rana stated that the state government, which allegedly struggles to pay salaries and pensions, should not be seeking funds from temples, calling this a direct attack on the Hindu community. He demanded that the government reverse its decision.
