Budhi Singh Thakur Appointed Chairman of H.P. State Cooperative Milk Producers Federation.

In a significant development aimed at bolstering the dairy sector in Himachal Pradesh, the Governor of Himachal Pradesh has exercised powers under Section 34(2-AA) of the H.P. Cooperative Societies Act, 1968, to appoint Budhi Singh Thakur as the Chairman of the H.P. State Cooperative Milk Producers Federation Limited, Totu, Shimla-171011. Thakur, a resident of Village Bagipul, P.O. Buini, Tehsil Nirmand, District Kullu, is expected to bring renewed vigor to the federation.
Budhi Singh Thakur is a dedicated Congress party member who has previously served as the President of the District Congress Committee in Kullu. His appointment has been warmly received by Congress workers in the Kullu district, who anticipate that his leadership will strengthen the party’s position in the region. Currently, the Kullu district’s legislative assembly seats are divided between the Congress and BJP, with Congress holding the Kullu Sadar and Manali seats, while the BJP controls the Banjar and Ani seats.
Thakur has expressed his gratitude to the Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu for his appointment and has committed to working diligently to enhance the operations of the milk federation. He will assume his new role upon the completion of all necessary formalities under Section 35 of the H.P. Cooperative Societies Act, 1968, as coordinated by the Animal Husbandry Department.
