Sub-Divisional Ayurvedic Officer’s Office to Open in Balh: Yadwinder Goma Announces Development Plans at Rewalsar in Mandi.

The State-level Tsechu Fair being held at Rewalsar in Mandi district saw the participation of Yadwinder Goma, the Minister for AYUSH, Youth Services & Sports, as the chief guest on Sunday. During his visit, Goma offered prayers at the Padmasambhava Buddhist Temple, participated in the ceremonial procession, and circumambulated the holy Rewalsar Lake.
In his address, Goma highlighted that Rewalsar is a significant spiritual hub, also known as the “Triveni Sangam,” where the sacred sites of Sikh, Buddhist, and Hindu religions converge. He emphasized that not only is Rewalsar renowned across India, but it has also gained international recognition, drawing pilgrims from both domestic and foreign lands.
Goma further stated that under the leadership of Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, the state is ensuring balanced and all-around development, including in Mandi. He assured that the development of Balh would not be compromised. The Minister also pointed out that many welfare programs have been initiated under the Chief Minister’s leadership, contributing to the well-being of the people of Himachal Pradesh.
During the event, Goma made a key announcement, revealing that an office for a Sub-Divisional Ayurvedic Officer would be set up in Nerchowk, Balh. Additionally, he declared the allocation of Rs. 10 lakh to level the ground in Rewalsar for better facilities. The Minister also assured that a survey would be conducted for establishing an Ayurvedic hospital in Rewalsar. If the survey results show feasibility, a 10-bed sub-district hospital will be set up.
In his support for the fair’s success, Goma pledged Rs. 51,000 from his voluntary fund to the fair organizing committee and Rs. 21,000 to the women’s groups for their performances.
Several dignitaries, including former minister Prakash Chaudhary, APMC Chairman Sanjeev Guleria, and SDM Balh Smritika Negi, shared their thoughts at the event. They also presented Goma with a shawl, cap, and a memento as a mark of respect.
The event saw a series of cultural performances, adding to the festive atmosphere. Other notable figures in attendance included District AYUSH Officer Mandi Dr. Rajesh Kalia, District Council Member Champa Thakur, Rewalsar Municipal Council President Sunita Gupta, SDM and Fair Committee Chairperson Smritika Negi, Naib Tehsildar Krishna Chand, and other prominent personalities.
