Rigzin Samphel Heyreppa elected BJP District President for Lahaul and Spiti.

Rigzin Samphel Heyreppa was unanimously elected as the new District President of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for Lahaul and Spiti on Sunday. The announcement was made during a gathering at the district headquarters in Keylong, attended by senior BJP leaders, including Nachan MLA Vinod Kumar, former MLA Ravi Thakur, and several party workers from the region.
In his first address as District President, Heyreppa expressed his gratitude to the party leadership at both the state and central levels. He particularly thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP National President JP Nadda, and Leader of Opposition in Himachal Pradesh, Jai Ram Thakur, for placing their trust in him. Heyreppa promised to work tirelessly for the party’s growth and to strengthen its presence in Lahaul and Spiti.
He outlined his vision of expanding the BJP’s organizational base at the block level, ensuring close cooperation between senior party leaders and local workers. Emphasizing the importance of addressing the region’s unique challenges, Heyreppa vowed to raise the issues with the state government led by Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, focusing on the region’s development needs.
