District Congress Committee Lahaul and Spiti held its meeting at Keylong to discuss the poll strategy for Lok Sabha election.

District Congress Committee Lahaul and Spiti district on Thursday held its meeting at Keylong to discuss the poll strategy for forthcoming Lok Sabha election due on June 1.
Congress spokesperson Anil Sehgal said that a general meeting of District Congress Committee was held at Keylong, in which poll strategy was discussed to ensure the win of party in the Lok Sabha election. The meeting was presided over by Gyalsan Thakur, the president of District Congress Committee.
Dozens of party workers were present in this meeting. All they said in one voice that the party will never forgive Congress MLA from Lahaul and Spiti Ravi Thakur for the betrayal he has committed against the government. There is immense anger among the Congress party workers as well as the people of the district against him for this misdeed.
District President Gyalsan Thakur urged party workers to remain united. He said that the upcoming Lok Sabha elections are round the corner and a strategy will be made for that and all the officials of District Congress Committee, Block Congress Committee Mahila Congress and Youth Congress will be given responsibility soon to win the election.
He said that at present there was no discussion on the by-election in the meeting. When the party high command will ask to give the names of the candidates interested in the by-election, then the said topic will be discussed during that time only.
He directed all the party leaders and workers to get involved in the Lok Sabha election campaign. In this meeting, former MLA Raghuveer Thakur, Zila Parishad Chairman Anuradha Rana, PCC Secretary Pyare Lal, Jeep Vice President Rajesh, former President Norbu Bodh, Mahila Congress President Shashikiran, all three block presidents Ram Singh, Devi Singh, Ramesh Kumar, TAC member Sushil Kumar, Mohan Lal, DCC vice president Norbu Pans, former party vice president Rajender Karpa, state tribal vice president Sohan Singh, TAC member Rap Chik, former TAC member Dorje Chhopel, Youth Congress President Ajit, Spiti Media Incharge Yash Bodh, Keylong Social Media Incharge Ashok, besides all the Panchayati Raj members of the party, party officials and workers were present.
