Former Member of Parliament and Himachal Pradesh Congress Committee President, Pratibha Singh, has urged all party leaders to address the issues faced by party workers and ensure that their contributions are recognized within the government. She emphasized that party workers should not feel ignored or unheard, and stressed the importance of resolving their concerns. Singh announced that the district and block executive committees will be restructured soon, and those entrusted with responsibilities will need to perform their duties with commitment and dedication. She made it clear that any disregard for the party’s guidelines will not be tolerated.

Chairing a meeting with party workers from Sundernagar, Dharmpur, Nachen, Karsog, and Sarkaghat on the third day of her visit to Mandi district, Pratibha Singh shared her plans for the future of the party organization. She revealed that the party would focus on creating a “second line” of young leaders, providing them with opportunities to gain experience in party affairs. She emphasized that senior leaders at the Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC), district, and block levels would be tasked with key responsibilities, alongside dedicated party workers who contribute their time and energy to party programs.

Singh praised the work of the Congress government under the leadership of Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu and Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri, highlighting that the government has been working effectively to implement welfare programs. She stressed the need for all party members to spread awareness about the government’s policies and initiatives to the public.

Remembering former Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh, Pratibha Singh acknowledged his immense contribution to the development of the state. She recalled his efforts to make Mandi the central zone by establishing several government headquarters there. She added that, as a Member of Parliament, Virbhadra Singh always responded to the needs of the people. In contrast, Singh criticized the current BJP MP from Mandi, saying that the MP had shown no concern for the constituency and did not even have time to meet the people.

Pratibha Singh also urged party workers to prepare for the upcoming Panchayati Raj and Municipal elections and bring forward capable individuals who align with the party’s ideology. She warned the workers to stay alert against any misleading propaganda by the BJP, and emphasized the need to educate the public on the truth.

Regarding the Congress government, Singh assured party workers that they would receive full recognition and respect. She committed to taking their concerns to the Chief Minister and ensuring that workers would be able to meet with the Chief Minister and other ministers at the Secretariat. Additionally, she pledged that the Seva Dal’s work would continue to be appreciated and that their dignity would be maintained.

During the meeting, several prominent leaders including former Chief Parliamentary Secretary Sohan Lal Thakur, addressed the gathering. Party workers from various blocks also shared their views and suggestions.
