Press Club Mandi Celebrates 23rd Foundation Day with Enthusiasm.

The Press Club Mandi celebrated its 23rd Foundation Day on Monday with great enthusiasm. Established on April 7, 2002, the club reminisced about its journey and paid tribute to one of its founding members, Hemkant Katyayan, while also engaging in a discussion on the social impact of journalism.
The event commenced with the members offering floral tributes to late Hemkant Katyayan, one of the club’s founding members. Following this, other founding members D.P. Gupta, Murari Sharma, and K.C. Shastri shared their memories related to the formation and development of the club. They spoke about how the club, through its journalism, has aimed at bringing positive changes in the local community.
To add a festive touch to the occasion, the members cut a cake to mark the milestone. The newly elected President Subhash Thakur, Vice President Monika Thakur, and Treasurer Bhagat Singh Guleria were present for the celebration.
The discussions at the event focused on the role of journalism in society, its challenges, and the ethical responsibilities it entails. There were also insightful exchanges of ideas regarding the future of the Press Club and its upcoming activities.
In his speech, President Subhash Thakur emphasized, “Journalism is the guardian of truth and impartiality. Press Club Mandi is committed to advancing this mission.” Earlier he took oath as a newly elected president of press Club Mandi and promised to work for the betterment of club.
