Balveer Thakur retires from the post of Assistant Regional Manager of Food and Civil Supplies Corporation Mandi zone.

Balveer Thakur, who belongs to the remote Ropa Panchayat of Chauhar Valley of Mandi district, today retired from the post of Assistant Regional Manager of Civil Food Supplies Corporation Mandi zone.

On this occasion, Manager of Mandi Food and Civil Supplies Corporation, Khem Chand, Accounts Officer and all other employees and officers of Corporation honored all the family members of Balveer Thakur by offering them shawl and cap in a city hotel, where a retirement ceremony was organised. They also given a check of Rs 50000 to Balveer and also presented a gift to him.

Balveer Thakur joined the Food and Civil supplies Corporation for the first time on January 6, 1989. He retired from the post of Regional Assistant Manager Mandi zone today, after serving 35 years, 2 months and 25 days in various districts of the state including Mandi, Kangra and Shimla.

The officials of the corporation described him as a fearless officer, who remained always involved in social activities.

On his retirement, many employees of the corporation said that they were saddened by the retirement of Balveer. They wished for his long and healthy life and said that even after his retirement, the doors of the corporation will remain open for him.

The officers and employees of the corporation had arranged for lunch in a city hotel for the entire family members of the Balveer Thakur.
