Prime Minister Narendra Modi today congratulated Mark Carney on being elected as the Prime Minister of Canada and extended his best wishes to the Liberal Party on their electoral victory.

Highlighting the strong foundation of bilateral relations, Prime Minister Modi underscored the shared democratic values, firm adherence to the rule of law, and dynamic people-to-people ties that connect India and Canada.

In a message posted on X, he stated:
