Prakash Chand Elected President of Mandi District Pencak Silat Association for 2025–2029 Term.
Shimla:
The District Executive Committee elections of the Mandi District Pencak Silat Association were held on Saturday, June 7, 2025, at Munish Resort, Bhuli, in Mandi district. The elections were conducted to constitute the executive body for the upcoming four-year term from 2025 to 2029.
The election proceedings were held under the supervision of Satinder Kumar, who was appointed as the official observer by the Department of Youth Services and Sports, District Mandi.
During the elections, Prakash Chand was unanimously elected as the new President of the association. Along with him, a full executive body was formed, with the following office bearers elected:
- Chairman: Dr. K. P. Sharma
- General Secretary: Joginder Singh Azad
- Senior Vice President: Paras Vaidya
- Vice Presidents: Brij Lal Chauhan, Vishal Thakur, Rakesh Kumar, Shesh Ram
- Joint Secretary: Santosh Kumar
- Treasurer: Daivagya Awasthi
- Executive Members: Rohan, Vijay Kumar, and Jeevan Chauhan
Following his election, Prakash Chand expressed his gratitude to the Sports Department’s Observer, Satinder Kumar, for overseeing the transparent conduct of the elections. He also extended congratulations and thanks to all newly elected members and office bearers for placing their trust in him.
The newly formed executive body is expected to play a pivotal role in the promotion and development of Pencak Silat across the Mandi district over the next four years.
