Nari Shakti Leading the Way in Viksit Bharat: PM Modi Highlights 11 Years of Women-Led Development.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in a series of impactful remarks shared today, lauded the extraordinary role of Indian women—referred to as Nari Shakti—in shaping a developed India (Viksit Bharat). Emphasizing the transformative changes over the last 11 years under the NDA government, he said that Indian women have not only overcome adversity but are now setting inspiring examples across all sectors.
“Today, our mothers, sisters, and daughters, who once faced difficulties at every step, are not only actively participating in the vision of a developed India but also creating milestones in education, business, and beyond,” the Prime Minister stated.
Reflecting on the government’s sustained focus on women-led development, Modi highlighted several initiatives that have directly impacted and uplifted millions of women:
- Swachh Bharat Abhiyan: Aimed at restoring dignity by ensuring access to sanitation.
- Jan Dhan Yojana: Facilitating financial inclusion and autonomy through access to banking.
- Ujjwala Yojana: Providing over 90 million LPG connections to ensure smoke-free kitchens.
- MUDRA Yojana: Enabling lakhs of women to start micro and small businesses, fostering self-reliance and entrepreneurship.
- PM Awas Yojana: Prioritizing house ownership in women’s names, enhancing their security and decision-making power.
He also cited the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao campaign, describing it as a turning point in shifting societal attitudes and empowering the girl child through awareness and education.
“Over the past 11 years, the success of Nari Shakti has been a matter of pride for every Indian. From science and education to sports, StartUps, and the armed forces, women are excelling and inspiring millions,” he added.
