CM Sukhu Extends Greetings on Teachers’ Day, Congratulates National and State Awardee Teachers.

On the occasion of Teachers’ Day, Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu extended heartfelt greetings to the teaching community and lauded their invaluable contribution in shaping the future of the nation. A special function to mark the occasion was held at Peterhoff, Shimla, where outstanding teachers were felicitated for their dedication and excellence in the field of education.

The Chief Minister congratulated Shashi Paul, a JBT teacher from Solan district, who was recently honoured with the prestigious National Award for Teachers at a ceremony held in New Delhi. Additionally, 19 teachers from across Himachal Pradesh were presented with State Awards for their exemplary service and commitment to students.

In his address, CM Sukhu highlighted the crucial role teachers play in nation-building and emphasized that quality education remains a top priority for the state government. He reiterated the government’s commitment to enhancing the education sector by launching ambitious schemes to bring quality education closer to students’ homes, particularly in remote and rural areas.

He proudly noted that due to the tireless efforts of teachers, Himachal Pradesh had improved its ranking from 21st in 2021 to 5th place in the National Achievement Survey, showcasing a significant leap in the quality of education.

“The dedication and commitment of our teachers are the backbone of our education system. Their hard work, even in difficult conditions, has brought glory to the state and ensured better learning outcomes for our children,” the Chief Minister said.

The celebration was attended by award-winning teachers, education department officials, and dignitaries from across the state. The event served as a platform to honour the passion, perseverance, and pedagogical innovation demonstrated by educators across Himachal Pradesh.
