Shimla:

In a significant move aimed at boosting global employment opportunities for the youth of Himachal Pradesh, the state government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, is set to organise a special overseas recruitment drive on October 9, 2025, at the Government Polytechnic, Hamirpur.

The initiative is being spearheaded by the Himachal Pradesh State Electronics Development Corporation (HPSEDC), in collaboration with the Department of Labour & Employment, the Department of Technical Education, and a Ministry of External Affairs (MEA)-registered recruitment agency.

Chief Minister Sukhu reiterated his government’s commitment to making the state’s youth globally competitive and self-reliant. “This overseas recruitment drive is part of our broader vision to provide international career avenues to the young workforce of Himachal Pradesh. It will open up opportunities in both technical and non-technical sectors abroad,” he said in an official statement.

The recruitment process will be conducted through the MEA-registered agency, ensuring complete transparency, accountability, and adherence to international recruitment norms.

All interested candidates across Himachal Pradesh have been encouraged to participate in this special employment opportunity. The recruitment drive is open to eligible candidates seeking positions abroad, and is expected to attract a large number of applicants.

Details regarding registration procedures, eligibility criteria, and the list of necessary documents will be released soon via official employment offices, their social media handles, and the HPSEDC’s official website.

This initiative is expected to provide a major boost to employment prospects for the state’s youth while helping them gain international work exposure.
