PM Narendra Modi Inaugurates and Dedicates Rs. 13,430 Crore Development Projects in Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh; Unveils Vision for a Developed, Connected and Technologically Advanced India.
Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh:
Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone, inaugurated, and dedicated to the nation a series of transformative development projects worth Rs. 13,430 crore in Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh. Addressing a massive gathering, the Prime Minister highlighted the state’s cultural richness, technological potential, and its critical role in shaping India’s 21st-century growth story.

Reflecting on his spiritual journey, Modi said, “I feel blessed to be born in Gujarat, the land of Somnath, to serve in Kashi, the land of Baba Vishwanath, and to receive the blessings of Srisailam today.” He also paid tributes at the Sree Shivaji Spoorthi Kendra and honored legendary figures like Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Allama Prabhu, Akkamahadevi, and freedom fighters Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy and Hari Sarvottama Rao.
The Prime Minister emphasized Andhra Pradesh’s cultural pride, scientific innovation, and youthful potential, stating that the state is poised for accelerated development under the joint leadership of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and Pawan Kalyan. He underscored the collaboration between Delhi and Amaravati, calling it a vital force in India’s journey to becoming a developed nation by 2047.
Major Announcements and Projects:
- Energy & Infrastructure:
A Rs. 3,000 crore transmission project and Natural Gas Pipeline from Srikakulam to Angul were launched. An LPG Bottling Plant in Chittoor was inaugurated, capable of filling 20,000 cylinders daily, expected to boost local employment. - Connectivity Boost:
Modi unveiled new highways, including the Sabbavaram–Sheelanagar corridor, new rail lines, and flyovers, promising to improve both passenger convenience and industrial logistics across Andhra. - Technology Leap:
Google will establish India’s first Artificial Intelligence Hub in Andhra Pradesh, with advanced data centers, AI infrastructure, and a new International Subsea Gateway at Visakhapatnam, cementing the state’s place in global digital connectivity. - Industrial Growth:
The Advanced Night Vision Factory in Nimmaluru was launched to enhance indigenous defence production, drone technology, and exports. Orvakal and Kopparthy are being developed as new industrial corridors to boost Rayalaseema’s growth. - Tax & Economic Reforms:
Modi noted that income up to Rs. 12 lakh is now tax-free and lauded the GST Bachat Utsav launched under Nara Lokesh’s leadership. He stated that next-gen GST reforms would save Rs. 8,000 crore for Andhra citizens.
Calling Andhra Pradesh the “land of pride and rich culture,” Modi reiterated that it must play a central role in India’s journey to becoming a global manufacturing and innovation hub.

He concluded by congratulating the people of the state and said, “The dream of a developed India will be realized through a developed Andhra Pradesh.”
