Film of vyavastha parivartan directed by CM Sukhu flopped within 15 months, says leader of opposition Jai Ram Thakur.
BJP candidate Kangana Ranaut filed her nomination papers at Mandi to contest Lok Sabha election on the Mandi parliamentary seat.

BJP candidate actress Kangana Ranaut today filed her nomination papers at Mandi to contest Lok Sabha election on the Mandi parliamentary seat.
On this occasion, she was accompanied by BJP National Vice President Saudan Singh, leader of opposition Jai Ram Thakur, BJP state president Dr. Rajeev Bindal, BJP MLAs and Ex, MLAs from Mandi parliamentary constituency and local BJP leaders.
Before filing the nomination papers, BJP held a road show from Padal ground to Seri Manch to show its political strength and counter the rally of Congress, which was held on May 9 on the occasion of nomination filing of Congress candidate Vikramaditya Singh.
Later, BJP held a public meeting at Seri Manch, which was addressed by leader of opposition Jai Ram Thakur, BJP state President Dr. Rajeev Bindal, BJP candidate Kangana Ranaut and other leaders.
Addressing the gathering, leader of opposition Jai Ram Thakur said that “on the Congress candidate’s nomination in Mandi, one leader said to the public to ride on the vehicle of Congress. But I want to tell him today on the occasion of BJP candidate Kangana Ranaut’s nomination we have punctured the vehicle of Congress. Today, a large number of people arrived here to attend the BJP rally.” His reference was to target the Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri.
Thakur said that the people of the country have made up their mind to make PM Modi the Prime Minister of India third time.
“Congress leaders insulted the people of Mandi and now they are seeking votes in the Lok Sabha election for Congress candidate. Congress leaders used derogatory remarks against BJP candidate Kangana Ranaut, the daughter of Himachal in Mandi. Congress will have to pay the cost for it in this Lok Sabha election”, he remarked.
“The people of the country want strong leadership. PM Modi worked for the development of the country relentlessly in the last 10 years. He did works for the welfare of women, farmers and down trodden class. He gave a befitting reply to the enemies. So his popularity among the public is continuously increasing” said Thakur.
Targeting the Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, Thakur said that the film of vyavastha parivartan directed by CM Sukhu has flopped within 15 months and six Congress MLAs left the party due to his arrogant behavior. He said that during CM Sukhu’s regime development of Mandi district has stopped completely and money approved by the previous government for development works in Mandi was diverted for other projects outside the district.
Targeting the Congress candidate Vikramaditya Singh, Thakur said that when the state government was taking decision against development of Mandi, Vikramaditya Singh did not raise his voice in favour of the people of Mandi.
Thakur said that Rs. 1000 crore approved by the previous BJP government for construction of airport in Mandi was diverted by Sukhu government. Similarly Rs. Of the total Rs 250 crore approved by the previous BJP government for Shivdham project in Mandi, Rs. 200 crore was diverted by the present government out side district.
BJP state President Dr. Rajeev Bindal also criticized the Congress and said “because of its acts it is reducing in numbers in the parliament continuously. This time, it will be below 50 seats. On the other hand we have strong leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi who is working round the clock for the development of the country.”
BJP candidate Kangana Ranaut said that PM Modi gave respect to women and provided them opportunity in every field. Today, women are serving in Indian Army and Chandrayan mission and operating Tejas and Raphael.
“PM Modi is continuously striving hard for the welfare of weaker sections of society, who gave cooking gas cylinders and cooking stoves to crores women in the country, Kisaan Samman Nidhi to farmers, scholarships to students and houses to poor people” she added.
“PM Modi removed article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir and wiped out terrorism in the country. Under his rule, India emerged as the 5th largest economy in the world. He has set out to make India a Developed country by 2047” said Kangana.
“During his rule a tribal woman, the president of India Draupadi Murmu, sat at the highest post of the country. PM Modi gave respect to women. As a result he fielded a woman candidate from Mandi” she remarked.
“PM Modi changed the thought in the country. He removed the sign of slavery from India and renamed Rajpath as Kartavya path. He also made a statue of unity, the statue of Sardar Vallabh Bhai patel who had contributed for the unity of India” said Kangana.
PM Modi constructed the temple of Lord Rama, which was hanging in fire for a long time,”she added.
Kangana urged the people of Mandi to elect her in this election and she will work for the development of the Mandi parliamentary constituency.
