Centre Approves Rs. 15.36 Crore for Road Development in Dharampur Region under PMGSY Phase-IV. 

Four key link roads to be upgraded, improving connectivity and boosting rural development.

The Central Government has sanctioned major funding for the development of rural roads in the Dharampur region under Mandi district, providing a significant boost to local infrastructure and connectivity. Under Prime Minister’s Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) Phase-IV, approval has been granted for the construction and upgradation of four vital link roads, with a total investment of Rs. 15.36 crore.

This move is expected to greatly enhance transportation facilities in the area, making travel easier and safer for residents while opening new avenues for economic, educational, and healthcare access.

Details of the Approved Projects

  1. Link Road Dayol to Gwela – Length: 3.5 km | Sanctioned Amount: Rs. 5.93 crore
  2. Link Road to Village Majhair – Length: 3.1 km | Sanctioned Amount: Rs. 4.80 crore
  3. Link Road to Village Ropdi Bagpal – Length: 2 km | Sanctioned Amount: Rs. 2.68 crore
  4. Link Road to Village Bag – Length: 1.5 km | Sanctioned Amount: Rs. 1.95 crore

Together, these projects represent a total outlay of Rs. 15.36 crore, aimed at improving inter-village connectivity and enabling smoother access to essential services.

Local leaders and residents have welcomed this decision, noting that it will bring tangible improvements to daily life in the region. Rajat Thakur, BJP State Executive Member and a young leader from Dharampur, expressed heartfelt gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Rural Development Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, BJP National President and Union Health Minister Jagat Prakash Nadda, and Hamirpur MP Anurag Thakur for approving the funding.

He said, “The Prime Minister’s Gram Sadak Yojana is paving a new path of progress in Dharampur. The BJP government is committed to ensuring all-weather road connectivity to every village, and this initiative reflects that commitment.
