Himachal Pradesh Education Minister Rohit Thakur expressed his pride and joy today as he participated in the historic Shant Mahayagya of Devta Sahib Nageshwar Maharaj, under Rohru subdivision of Shimla district, being organized after a gap of 54 years. The grand religious event has drawn devotees from across the region to witness and partake in the spiritual ceremony.

In his statement, Minister Thakur extended his heartfelt greetings and best wishes to all residents of the region on this auspicious occasion. He said, “I feel deeply honored to be part of the Shant Mahayagya of Devta Sahib Nageshwar Maharaj, organized after more than five decades. I congratulate all the locals on this historic event.”

The Minister highlighted the deep faith of Himachal Pradesh’s people in their divine traditions, noting that this devotion is why the state is often referred to as ‘Devbhoomi’ – the land of the gods. He emphasized that the Shant Mahayagya serves as a living symbol of the state’s ancient culture, rich heritage, and spiritual traditions.

Minister Thakur further remarked, “We take pride in our age-old culture and the vibrant traditions that define Himachal Pradesh. Events like this Mahayagya not only preserve our cultural heritage but also strengthen the spiritual fabric of our society.”
